05 Aug Supporting Burnham Fete

You may have seen that we were supporting this year’s Burnham Village Fete on Saturday 14th July!

We had such a great day, the weather was fantastic and there was lots going on for the whole family to enjoy. The smell of all the delicious food stalls filled the air and a number of the Glenn Flegg team toured all of the food stalls having a little taster at each one – when in Rome!

It was a fantastic day and a great opportunity for the local community to get together and have a day out close to home. There were stalls relevant to the locals such as information about local help and support groups; including Burnham Community Centre, Daisy’s Dream, Burnham Community Association.

The Town Women’s Guild did a yard Bombing of the trees and Railings and also had a stall, there was also a Plant stall, the RSPCA, Burnham British Legion, Romanian Dog Adoption, Martial Arts, local Guide and Scouts groups, Adelaide’s Charity, Burnham Parish Council, Burnham Youth Club, St. Peter’s Church, Cornerstone, The Lions Club, Lighthouse, Your Health, Daisy’s Dream, Burnham Community Association, Neighbourhood Watch, The Police Cadets, Face Painting, Oakwood and a couple of commercial stalls

There were some brilliant fair rides and also one extremely well stocked second-hand book stall!

We were also delighted to be sponsoring the prizes for the community treasure hunt. Entrants had to search up and down Burnham high street for clues and enter their answers to the organisers.

The first place winner of the Treasure Hunt was seven year old Zoe Kapica (pictured) who was delighted with her prize of WH Smith Vouchers; we also provided the prizes for 2nd and 3rd place!
