20 Dec A busy time at Glenn Flegg & Co.
As we approach the end of the year we always have a flurry of enquiries and instructions as people aim to get the ball rolling on their home move in the New Year. As the leading estate agent in Langley and the surrounding areas of Slough and Windsor we try to be involved with the community as much as possible.
We love our local area and are delighted when people want to move into the area – if you’re one such person make sure you take a look at our properties for sale in Langley and the surrounding areas. We also have a wonderful portfolio of properties for rent in slough, Langley and Windsor.
If you would like to speak to a member of our local area experts about your property options, make sure you give us a call on 01753 546655 or our Burnham branch on 01628 666666 or even drop us an email. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Let’s take a look at a few highlights from the last couple of months.
St Peter’s Christmas Fair
We were delighted to have sponsored the refreshment tent at St Peter’s School. We have a long relationship with St Peter’s and try to be there to support their events. It’s great to get the whole community together to help raise funds for the school and we recognise how much effort goes in to organising and hosting such an event. We’d like to thank all those people responsible for organising the activities as well as all those who had stalls, without you the fair wouldn’t be as successful and we feel very proud to be a part of the team.
Professional Development
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the latest training is available for our staff, a portion of the team attended a fantastic customer service training course. The course was designed to help us keep on top of best practices and techniques when it comes to delivering the very best customer experiences. This included how business and team leaders can regularly review team structure in order to keep efficiency high on the agenda.
One of the most important factors of our roles as estate and lettings agents is knowing our local market place, but more than that; having quick access to information & facts about related markets and industries – things like mortgages rates and eligibility as well as ball park solicitor costs. This kind of information will help to create confidence in our clients minds; which, in turn can creates trust in our brand and our team – which is beneficial for the vendor, buyer and us.
In a busy, family run business time management skills are essential. This was high on the agenda during the training course, as a result of research which found that online agents weren’t providing the level of service that most people required and so many vendors have decided that the traditional Estate Agency service was the way forward.
We were also introduced to a platform which could speed up the buying and selling of properties to help complete the transactions in a shorter time. We’ll bring you more on this as we learn about it, but watch this space.
Successful Sale
As you can imagine, successfully moving people into a new home is the single most satisfying thing we, as estate agents, can achieve. The idea that we have had a hand in their happiness is something we treasure. That’s why we absolutely love to receive feedback and, when that feedback comes in the form of chocolate we’re even happier.
One such gift (pictured) was to thank us for helping a first time buyer who was looking to move into the area as her daughter had recently gained admission to a local Grammar School. During the final weeks of the sale we all worked tirelessly to ensure that all solicitors, agents and vendors along the chain were working together to ensure the sale completed on the agreed date. It did, and our vendor was able to move into her new property with a smile on her face. We hope they are super happy in their lovely new home.
